MEET TIM "TIMO" OLSON
Welcome! My name is Tim Olson or as my friends call me "Timo" (pronounced Tim-Oh) and I am a blogger, motivator, & small business owner. I am also the author of "Growing Up Nobody" which is my story. In the book I open up about the struggles and obstacles that I faced in my life to help others. My hope is that those who hear my story and see that even when life deals you a bad hand that you can move forward and you can achieve your goals. I have had some great feedback and knowing that my trials can help someone else makes all I've been though worth it. My hope is that I can help you live a happy and fulfilling life. I want to see everyone succeed in their daily lives. I want to help men who did not have great role models (like myself) become better husbands and fathers and most of all want to help everyone break the line of dysfunction that so often holds us back.
I believe that not passing on dysfunction to the next generation is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children and is the real meaning of success. When I became a Christian I discovered that forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door to happiness. Forgiveness is the only way to free yourself and allow yourself to live a happy and meaningful life. I believe you need to learn to forgive those who hurt you but most importantly you must forgive yourself. Then and only then will you truly be happy. Once this happens we can become strong leaders in our homes, our churches, our work and in our communities.
I do all I can to inspire others. I have played a key role in the development of "Men of Hope" a men's ministry at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo where I act as the Volunteer Communication Director. I am also active in hosting Bible Studies and other events there. I also write a blog, am very active on social media, am interviewed on podcasts and radio shows and do speaking engagements.
I was born and raised in Fargo ND where I live today with my wife Lori of 21 years. Together we raise our three children Brad, Alex & Hannah and work together running our small business.
"Success isn't about the amount of money you have in the bank, it's about breaking the line of dysfunction in your family."
