"Success is not about the amount of money you have in the bank, it's about breaking the line of dysfunction in your family."

Thank you for stopping by. My name is Tim Olson or as my friends call me "Timo" (pronounced Tim-Oh) and I am here to help you live a happy and fulfilling life. I believe you can be a victim or victor and that the choice is yours. I help people by sharing my experiences. I do this through speaking at events, radio and podcast interviews, social media, the occasional blog and my book "Growing Up Nobody".
"Growing Up Nobody" is my story. In the book I openly talk I about the struggles I had from being bullied, living with a father who suffered from mental illness and was mentally abusive. Then I lost both my parents all by the age of twenty four. My hope is that those who hear my story and see that even when life deals you a bad hand that you can move forward and you can achieve your goals. I believe that by sharing my story you may see that there is someone who struggled just like you and that they made it to the other side.
I want to see everyone succeed in their daily lives. I want men who did not have great role models (like myself) become better husbands and fathers. Most of all want to help everyone break the line of dysfunction that so often holds us back. Not passing on dysfunction to the next generation is one of the greatest gifts we can give our children and is the real meaning of success. When I became a Christian I discovered that forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door to happiness. Forgiveness is the only way to free yourself and allow yourself to live a happy and meaningful life. I believe you need to learn to forgive those who hurt you but most importantly you must forgive yourself. Then and only then will you truly be happy. Once this happens we can become strong leaders in our homes, our churches, at work and in our communities.
As for myself, I was born and raised in Fargo North Dakota where I still live to this day. I have been married to my wife Lori for 22 years and together we raise our three children Brad, Alex, and Hannah. My wife and I own and operate a business together. I have played a key role in the development of "Men of Hope" a men's ministry at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo where I act as the Volunteer Communication Director. I am also active in hosting Bible Studies and other events there.
